Description:
This position is responsible for designing, building and converting flat designs into fully interactive and functional websites, with a strong sense of optimization and usability.
The Website Designer will work closely with internal and external partners on the creative elements and flash animation of client websites. This position also works with the Lead Designer to create animated advertisements and applications to suit clients’ needs. Production ranges from non-interactive banners to simple buttons, navigation to complex application programming for Photo Galleries and Full Interactive Maps and satellite all-Flash websites. The ideal candidate will be skilled at and well versed in UI approaches, creation, and development of customer-friendly and exciting new site designs.
Additional responsibilities include following trends in technology and implementation to improve product flexibility and ensure the broadest range of user penetration. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsibilities also will include participating in creative brainstorming sessions with the ability to receive and provide constructive criticism. This position requires you to work closely with the Account Management and Technical teams to ensure all designs are achieving the necessary end-results.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in designing user interface and graphics for web-based applications including corporate Web sites, Intranets, online catalogs, extranets and information based sites for both consumer and business to business customers
- High level of logic and programming expertise
- Strong sense of aesthetic and an eye for animation, weight, balance and pacing
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, web design, or similar (Fine Arts degree with focus on computer driven design/art such as web, flash, or interactive media also accepted)
- Must have extensive knowledge of: CSS, ASP.NET, Photoshop/ Flash
- Expert knowledge and proven experience with website layout and usability design and graphics
- Excellent eye for details, pixel accuracy
- Must be fully cognizant of advance CSS techniques and commands in order to minimize the amount of necessary code and maximize cross browser stability.
- High level of understanding of Javascript and ASP.net to implement and develop new techniques and applications for implementation
